DH Always selects the raw hide of large-size Polish horses with a thickness of 1.3mm-1.5mm. To ensure that the leather maintains as stable and high quality in terms of luster, hand feeling, three-dimensionality, color, smell, weight, etc., Double Helix will always devote all efforts to this.
Double Helix's horsehide is made of environmentally friendly solvents. The solvents are volatile, and there will be no chemical residues in the leather in the end. Although Japan has its own requirements and standards for leather environmental protection Double Helix's horsehides pass the worlds highest standard PFI benchmark testing. The safety of the product to human health and the impact of the environment are aspects that Double Helix attaches great importance to.
The popularity of denim type leather jackets is very high, but what would it look like if the blue dyeing and fading effect could be achieved with horsehide? Relying on the enthusiasm for creativity and the confidence in the unlimited potential of horsehide, after more than a year of trial, Double Helix launched an exclusively developed white core blue dyed horsehide in 2018.
After repeated washing of the leather, the tea color is processed into white then indigo dyeing is carried out, and the color that is generally rich in sea blue is obtained by washing again. Over time a fading effect of blue and white interweaving is produced like a denim jacket.
